Description
The Panizzi Vertunno Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva 2021 is an organic, medium-to-full-bodied Tuscan red, primarily Sangiovese (typically with small additions of Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon). Aged in barriques, it features spiced, savory notes of ripe dark cherry, violet, and cocoa. It is structured and dry, suited for pairing with roast meats and pasta.
Winemaker Notes
In the Etruscan pantheon, Voltumna and Veltha represent the divine couple, the god and goddess. To them Panizzi dedicates the production of the Chianti Colli Senesi in its two declinations: the Riserva and the Vintage. A dyad of Panizzi wines that follows the changing of the seasons and the ripening of the grapes: on the one hand a young, nimble, "feminine" wine, on the other the Riserva, a wine with a more muscular character, concentrated and aged in barriques.
