What to Expect with Your Blue Oyster Spawn

Our USDA-certified organic Blue Oyster grain spawn is one of our top performers. This aggressive colonizer thrives on straw or sawdust indoors and can also be grown outdoors using straw beds or wood chips. Outdoors, Blue Oysters typically fruit prolifically in cooler weather—making them great candidates for early spring or late fall harvests.

To get the best results, remove your grain spawn from the shipping box immediately. Unfold the top of the bag to create air space, and ensure the filter patch remains unobstructed—this helps your mycelium breathe and stay healthy.
