This 5 ft. length of 2.6 mm tubular braided cotton is designed as reliable wicks for oil lamps and lanterns, providing a consistent, clean burn when properly primed. These 2.6 mm braided oil lamp wicks feature a round braided construction similar to a 1/8 inch round cotton oil lamp wick, making them ideal as cotton oil lamp wicks replacement for small and decorative lamps. The flexible mini oil lamp wick can be cut to your desired length and fits Firefly Aura Petite, Bliss Petite, Transcend, Ethereal, Zen, Zen Petite, Tea Lights, and votives. Not intended for tiki torches. Firefly Pillar Candles require a 3.6 mm wick. For best performance, the oil lamp wick cotton material must be completely soaked in fuel before lighting to ensure the fuel, not the wick, burns. Petroleum based fuels such as paraffin lamp oil are recommended; vegetable oils, mineral oil, and alcohol are not suitable. The wick should extend only slightly above the holder, as the flame will grow within 5 minutes. If smoke occurs, the wick is set too high. Trim by removing the scorched portion and untwisting before reuse to restore steady flame performance.
