• Details:  This is a stunningly elegant 24% lead crystal basket by Hofbauer Crystal Co.  Part of their Byrdes Collection, this is the largest basket in the collection (#1412), featuring an etched bird in the center, a sawtooth rim and a tall handle with large cut X's, really pretty details!   This is a heavy piece, will need lots of packaging to arrive safely, please keep that in mind when checking out.  Gorgeous in any setting, these lead crystal pieces catch the light beautifully!  Perfect piece for Easter, Spring, Mother's Day, or everyday elegant decor!

Hofbauer Crystal Company was founded in Northern in the mid- to late 1900's.  They became known for their high quality 24% lead crystal and exquisite patterns.  We believe this Byrdes Collection was one of the last patterns, their factory burned down during a fire in the mid 1990's and they never rebuilt.   made, as their Sadly the Hofbauer factory burnt down in the mid 1990’s and was not rebuilt.  The Byrdes Crystal Collection remains one of the top 20 collected crystal patterns in the U.S.A..
